Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to analyze and discuss the themes, characters, and plot of your favorite book series, and express your thoughts and opinions about the books through writing.

Materials and Prep

  • Your favorite book from the series
  • Paper and pencil

Activities

  1. Start by rereading a chapter or passage from your favorite book in the series. Pay attention to the characters, their actions, and the events that take place.
  2. Write a short summary of the chapter or passage. Include the main events and any important details you noticed.
  3. Identify the main theme or message of the book series. Think about what the author is trying to convey through the story.
  4. Create a character analysis for one of the main characters. Describe their personality traits, motivations, and how they contribute to the overall story.
  5. Write a book review for one of the books in the series. Include your thoughts on the plot, characters, and any other aspects you found interesting or enjoyable.
