Objective
By the end of this lesson, the Fourth grade homeschool student will be able to understand the basic rules and skills involved in football, as well as engage in physical activity through football-related exercises and drills.
Materials and Prep

- Cones or markers (to create boundaries)
- Open space or a field
- Water bottle
Activities

Warm-up: Begin with a light warm-up to prepare the body for physical activity. This can include jogging in place, jumping jacks, or stretching exercises.

Football Basics: Teach the student the basic rules and skills of football. This can include explaining the objective of the game, how to throw and catch a football, and how to move with the ball.

Drills and Exercises: Set up a small football field using cones or markers. Practice different football-related exercises and drills, such as running with the ball, passing to a partner, or kicking the ball through a makeshift goal.

Mini Game: Divide into teams and play a mini football game. Emphasize teamwork, fair play, and good sportsmanship throughout the game.

Cool-down: Finish the lesson with a cool-down period to gradually lower the heart rate and stretch the muscles. This can include slow walking or gentle stretching exercises.
