Activities

  1. Activity: Design Your Dream Home

    Instructions: Imagine you are an architect and you have been given the task to design your dream home. Use the ruler and graph paper to create a floor plan for your house. Make sure to include rooms, hallways, and any other architectural features you desire. Remember to use geometric shapes and measurements accurately.

  2. Activity: Scale Drawing

    Instructions: Choose a specific room from your dream home design and create a scale drawing of it. Decide on a scale, such as 1 inch on the drawing representing 1 foot in real life. Use the ruler and graph paper to accurately draw the room to scale. This will help you visualize the actual size and proportions of the room.

  3. Activity: Calculate Area and Perimeter

    Instructions: Select one of the rooms from your dream home design and calculate its area and perimeter. Measure the length and width of the room, and then use the appropriate formulas to find the area and perimeter. Write down your calculations and explain how these measurements are important for architectural planning.
