Before starting the lesson, make sure you have a basic understanding of the different weather conditions and their symbols.
Activities
- Introduce the concept of weather and its importance in different parts of the world. Show pictures or flashcards of different weather conditions and ask the student to identify them.
- Using the globe or world map, point out different countries or regions and discuss the typical weather patterns they experience. Encourage the student to ask questions and share their observations.
- Give the student index cards and ask them to draw or write the names of different weather conditions on each card. Cut out the cards and mix them up.
- Ask the student to match the weather condition cards with the countries or regions on the globe or map. Discuss why certain weather conditions are more common in specific areas.
- Play a weather-themed game, such as "Weather Charades" or "Weather Bingo," to reinforce the concepts learned and have fun!
