Materials and Prep

  • Computer or tablet with Minecraft installed
  • Pen or pencil
  • Blank paper or notebook

Activities

  1. Start by playing Minecraft and exploring your favorite world or building a new one. Take note of the different landscapes, structures, and characters you encounter.

  2. Once you have finished playing, take out your pen or pencil and paper. Write down a list of descriptive words that come to mind when thinking about your Minecraft world. For example, you could use words like "blocky," "colorful," "adventurous," "mysterious," "exciting," etc.

  3. Using your descriptive words, write a paragraph describing your Minecraft world. Start with an introduction sentence, then provide details about the landscape, structures, and characters. Don't forget to use proper grammar and punctuation!

  4. Once you have finished writing, read your paragraph aloud to yourself or someone else. Make any necessary revisions or additions to improve the flow and clarity of your writing.

  5. Optional: If you would like, you can illustrate your Minecraft world to accompany your descriptive paragraph. Use your creativity to bring your world to life!
