Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to create a fun and colorful piece of art using basic materials.
Materials and Prep
- Construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Markers or crayons
- Pencil
Make sure you have a clear workspace and gather all the materials before starting the lesson.
Activities
- Start by folding a piece of construction paper in half to create a card shape.
- Using a pencil, lightly draw a simple shape or design on the front of the card. It could be a flower, a sun, a house, or anything you like!
- Carefully cut out the shape along the pencil lines.
- Now, take another piece of construction paper and cut out smaller shapes or objects that you can use to decorate your card. These could be circles, squares, triangles, or even animals.
- Use the markers or crayons to color the shapes and objects you cut out.
- Once you have colored all the shapes, use the glue stick to attach them to the front of your card. You can arrange them in any way you like!
- Finally, use the markers or crayons to add any additional details or decorations to your card.
