Teacher: ¡Busquemos colores! (Let's look for colors!) Let's find things around us that match our Spanish colors.
Activity: Call out a color in Spanish and have the student find an object of that color.
Teacher: ¡Busca algo ROJO! (Find something RED!) ... ¡Muy bien! Es rojo.
Teacher: ¡Busca algo AZUL! (Find something BLUE!) ... ¡Excelente! Es azul.
Continue this for several colors, encouraging the student to say the color name in Spanish.
Creative Time: ¡A Pintar! (Let's Paint/Draw!) (15-20 mins)
Teacher: ¡Ahora, vamos a crear arte! (Now, let's create art!) You can draw or paint anything you like. When you choose a color, try to say its name in Spanish.
Activity: Provide paper and art supplies. As the student works, ask questions in Spanish.
