Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to create a pumpkin-themed artwork using only materials that are readily available at home.
Materials and Prep
- A pumpkin (real or artificial)
- Construction paper (orange, green, and brown)
- Scissors
- Glue
- Markers or crayons
- Pencil
Make sure you have a clean workspace and gather all the materials before starting the lesson.
Activities
- Draw the outline of a pumpkin shape on the orange construction paper using a pencil. If you are using a real pumpkin, you can trace its shape on the paper.
- Carefully cut out the pumpkin shape along the pencil lines.
- Using the green construction paper, cut out a stem shape for your pumpkin.
- Glue the stem on top of the pumpkin shape.
- Decorate your pumpkin by drawing a face, adding details, or using markers and crayons to make it colorful.
- Optional: Cut out leaf shapes from the green construction paper and glue them around the stem to make it look like a pumpkin vine.
Feel free to get creative and personalize your pumpkin artwork!
