  • Picture books with simple words
  • Flashcards with words
  • Whiteboard or large paper
  • Markers or crayons

Activities

  1. Word Hunt:

Take the toddler on a word hunt around the house. Look for words on signs, labels, or books. Encourage the toddler to point out and name the words they find.

  2. Word Flashcards:

Show the toddler flashcards with different words. Ask them to identify each word and say it out loud. Repeat this activity several times, introducing new words each time.

  3. Word Drawing:

Give the toddler a whiteboard or large paper and markers or crayons. Ask them to draw pictures of the words you show them on flashcards. For example, if you show them the word "cat," ask them to draw a cat.
