  • Legos (optional)

Activities

  • Read a book about Legos together. Discuss the pictures and ask questions to engage the student's interest.

  • Ask the student to retell the story using their own words. Encourage them to use descriptive language and recall key details.

  • If Legos are available, have the student build a scene from the story using Legos. Then, have them explain their creation and how it relates to the story.

  • Encourage the student to write or draw a short summary of the story, using their newfound reading skills.
