Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to identify and use basic English grammar concepts related to cars and vehicles.
Materials and Prep
- Paper and pencil
- Toy cars or pictures of vehicles
Activities
-
Start by showing the student different toy cars or pictures of vehicles. Ask them to name each vehicle and describe its features.
Example: "What is this vehicle called? How many wheels does it have? Can you describe its color and size?"
-
Next, ask the student to create sentences using the vehicles they have identified. Encourage them to use different grammar concepts such as nouns, verbs, and adjectives.
Example: "Write a sentence using the word 'car'. Include an action word and describe how it looks."
-
Play a game of "Grammar Race" where the student needs to identify the correct grammar concept for each sentence related to cars and vehicles. For example, they can choose between nouns, verbs, or adjectives.
Example: "Is the word 'fast' a noun, verb, or adjective? What about the word 'drive'?"
