Objective
By the end of this lesson, the preschool student will be able to understand the concept of having a pet kitten and express their thoughts and feelings about it.
Materials and Prep
- Pictures or drawings of kittens
- Blank paper
- Coloring materials (crayons, markers, colored pencils)
- Scissors
- Glue
Activities

Show the preschool student pictures or drawings of kittens and discuss what they notice about them. Ask questions like:
- What color are kittens?
- What do kittens like to play with?
- How do kittens communicate?

Have the student draw a picture of their dream pet kitten on the blank paper. Encourage them to be creative and use different colors.

Help the student cut out their kitten drawing and glue it onto another piece of paper to create a collage.

Ask the student to describe their pet kitten. Prompt them with questions like:
- What is your kitten's name?
- What does your kitten like to do for fun?
- How does your kitten make you feel?
