First Grade Talking Points

  • "Frogs are amphibians, which means they can live both in water and on land."

  • "Frogs start their life as eggs, which are laid in water."

  • "The next stage is the tadpole. Tadpoles have gills and live in the water. They swim using their tails."

  • "As tadpoles grow, they develop legs and their tails become smaller. They are then called froglets."

  • "Finally, froglets become adult frogs. They have lungs and can breathe air. They can live both in water and on land."

  • "Frogs eat insects, worms, and other small creatures."

  • "Frogs are important for the environment as they help control insect populations."
