Activities

  1. Introduce the phonogram "ow" to the student. Explain that "ow" is a combination of two letters that make a specific sound.

  2. Write down a list of words that contain the "ow" phonogram. Examples include: cow, how, now, town, etc.

    Have the student practice spelling each word out loud, emphasizing the "ow" sound.

  3. Play a spelling game with the student. Give them a word with the "ow" phonogram and have them spell it out loud.

    For example, say "crow" and have the student spell it as "c-r-o-w".

  4. Have the student create their own sentences using words with the "ow" phonogram. Encourage them to be creative and use as many words as possible.

  5. Wrap up the lesson by reviewing the words and their spellings. Ask the student to spell each word again to reinforce their learning.
