  4. Writing Activity: Have your student write a short paragraph about what they learned from the passage. Encourage them to use descriptive words and complete sentences. Remind them to include a topic sentence, supporting details, and a closing sentence.
  5. Illustration: Ask your student to draw a picture related to horseback riding. It could be a scene from the passage or something they imagine. Encourage them to use colors and details to make their illustration come to life.
