Activities
- Introduction to Bugs: Show the toddler pictures or small toy bugs and talk about different types of bugs. Encourage them to ask questions and share their thoughts about bugs.
- Bug Drawing: Give the toddler a piece of paper and crayons or colored pencils. Ask them to draw their favorite bug and label it with the bug's name or any words they can write.
- Bug Story: Help the toddler create a simple bug story. Start with a sentence like "Once upon a time, there was a little bug named..." and let the toddler continue the story by adding a sentence or two. Write down their words as they dictate.
- Bug Journal: Provide the toddler with a small notebook or multiple sheets of paper stapled together. Encourage them to use it as a bug journal, where they can draw or write about different bugs they see or learn about.
