Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to get to know different countries and their cultures through fun geography activities.

Materials and Prep

  • World map or globe
  • Pen or pencil
  • Blank paper

Activities

  1. Activity 1: Where in the World?

    Using the world map or globe, locate five different countries. Write down the names of the countries and some interesting facts about each one.

  2. Activity 2: Postcard Exchange

    Choose one of the countries you learned about and imagine you are visiting there. Create a postcard with a picture on the front and a message on the back. Write about what you would like to see, do, or learn in that country.

  3. Activity 3: Cultural Cuisine

    Pick a country that you find interesting and research its traditional cuisine. Find a recipe for a popular dish from that country and try making it at home with the help of an adult. Enjoy the delicious taste of another culture!
