Activities

1. Watch a short video about the history of basketball together.

   Go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Yzv9KoYlWQ and watch the video.

2. Discuss the video and ask questions to check understanding.

   Ask questions like:

   • Who invented basketball?
   • Where and when was the first game of basketball played?
   • What are some basic rules of basketball?

3. Create a timeline of important events in basketball history.

   Draw a horizontal line on a piece of paper and label it "Basketball History Timeline". Together, research and add important events such as the invention of the basketball hoop, the establishment of the NBA, and the first Olympic basketball tournament.

4. Design your own basketball jersey.

   Using the paper and pencil, draw and color your own basketball jersey. Think about what colors and symbols represent you and your interests.
