Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to identify and name different characters from Paw Patrol and engage in basic reading activities related to the show.

Materials and Prep

  • Paw Patrol books or printouts
  • Writing materials (pencils, crayons, markers)
  • Scissors
  • Glue or tape
  • Optional: Paw Patrol videos or episodes

Activities

  1. Introduction to Paw Patrol (5 minutes)

Show the student pictures of different Paw Patrol characters and briefly introduce each one. Ask the student if they recognize any of the characters and encourage them to share what they know about them.

  2. Paw Patrol Reading Challenge (15 minutes)

Provide the student with a Paw Patrol book or printout. Ask them to identify and name the characters they see in the story. Read the story together and encourage the student to participate by pointing to the characters and repeating their names.

  3. Paw Patrol Character Collage (20 minutes)

Give the student a piece of paper and ask them to draw or cut out pictures of their favorite Paw Patrol characters from magazines or printouts. Help them write the names of the characters next to their pictures. Once they are done, assist them in creating a collage by gluing or taping the pictures onto a larger piece of paper.

  4. Paw Patrol Story Retelling (10 minutes)

Encourage the student to retell a Paw Patrol story using their collage as a visual aid. Prompt them with questions about the characters, events, and their favorite parts of the story. Offer support and guidance as needed.
