  • Printed pictures of different types of sharks
  • Whiteboard or large paper
  • Markers or crayons

Activities

  1. Introduction to Sharks:

    Start by showing the student pictures of different types of sharks. Discuss their physical characteristics such as their fins, teeth, and gills. Talk about where sharks live and how they move in the water.

  2. Shark Drawing:

    Provide the student with paper and markers or crayons. Ask them to draw their favorite shark and label its body parts. Encourage creativity and imagination!

  3. Shark Facts Game:

    Write down some interesting facts about sharks on the whiteboard or large paper. Read each fact aloud and ask the student to guess if it is true or false. Discuss the correct answers and provide additional information for each fact.

  4. Shark Movement Activity:

    Have the student pretend to be different types of sharks and demonstrate how they move. For example, they can slither like an eel, glide like a manta ray, or swim quickly like a great white shark. Encourage them to use their bodies and make sound effects!
