Materials and Prep
- A Minecraft-themed storybook (can be found online or at a local library)
- A computer or tablet with internet access
- Paper and pencils
Activities
- Introduce the Minecraft-themed storybook to the student and discuss their interest in Minecraft.
- Read the storybook together.
- Discuss the story and its elements.
- Engage in a Minecraft-themed writing activity.
Ask the student what they already know about Minecraft and why they enjoy playing it. Encourage them to share their thoughts and experiences.
Take turns reading aloud the pages of the storybook. Encourage the student to read the Minecraft-related words and phrases they come across.
Ask questions about the characters, setting, and events in the story. Encourage the student to express their opinions and make connections to their own experiences.
Ask the student to imagine a new adventure in the Minecraft world and have them write a short story or draw a picture to depict their adventure. Provide support and guidance as needed.

- "Today, we are going to read a story about Minecraft. Have you played Minecraft before? What do you like about it?"
- "Let's take turns reading the storybook. When you see Minecraft-related words, try to read them out loud. I will help you if you need it."
