Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will have a basic understanding of how the brain works and how it affects our behavior.
Materials and Prep
- Pen and paper
- Internet access (optional)
No prior knowledge is required for this lesson.
Activities
-
Brainstorm: Start by discussing with your parent or guardian what you already know about the brain and psychology. Write down your ideas on a piece of paper.
-
Research: If you have internet access, search for some basic information on the brain and psychology. Find at least three interesting facts and write them down.
-
Brain Model: Create a simple model of the brain using materials you have at home. You can use playdough, clay, or even draw a diagram on paper. Label the different parts of the brain and explain their functions.
-
Behavior Experiment: Think about how the brain affects our behavior. Choose a simple behavior or action, such as smiling, and observe how different people respond to it. Write down your observations and try to come up with explanations based on what you've learned about the brain.
