Materials and Prep

- Whiteboard or large paper
- Markers or crayons
Before starting the lesson, review the water-themed picture book to familiarize yourself with the content.
Activities
- Read the water-themed picture book aloud to the student, emphasizing words related to water such as "ocean," "river," "lake," and "rain."
- After reading, ask the student to name and draw their favorite water-related word on the whiteboard or large paper.
- Encourage the student to describe their drawing and explain why they chose that word.
- Play a game of "I Spy" using water-related words. Take turns describing an object or feature related to water, and have the student guess the word.
