Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to identify and locate different geographic locations related to Sonic the Hedgehog.

Materials and Prep

  • World map or globe
  • Printed images of Sonic the Hedgehog
  • Pen or pencil
  • Blank paper

Activities

  1. Introduce Sonic the Hedgehog to the student and show them printed images of Sonic.

    Discuss with the student that Sonic the Hedgehog is a popular video game character who goes on exciting adventures in different locations.

  2. Using the world map or globe, ask the student to locate and mark the real-world locations that inspired the settings in Sonic the Hedgehog games.

    Discuss the significance of these locations and how they influenced the design of the game.

  3. Ask the student to choose one of the locations and write a short paragraph describing its geography and any interesting facts about it.

    Encourage the student to be creative and include details that relate to Sonic the Hedgehog.
