Materials and Prep
- Paper
- Pencils
- Colored pencils or markers
- Reference books or online resources about Greek mythology
Prior knowledge of basic Greek mythology concepts and characters would be helpful, but not required.
Activities
- Create a Mythical Creature
- Design a Greek God or Goddess
- Create a Mythological Scene
Using your imagination and knowledge of Greek mythology, create your own mythical creature. Draw it on a piece of paper and color it using colored pencils or markers. Think about its appearance, characteristics, and any stories or powers it may possess.
Choose a Greek god or goddess that interests you. Research their characteristics and symbols. Then, design your own interpretation of that god or goddess. Draw them on a piece of paper, adding details and colors that represent their personality and domain.
Imagine a scene from a Greek myth that you find fascinating. It could be the battle between gods and titans, the adventures of Hercules, or the love story of Cupid and Psyche. Sketch and color a visual representation of that scene, capturing the characters, setting, and emotions involved.
