Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to write a descriptive paragraph about glue, using proper sentence structure and vocabulary.

Materials and Prep

  • Glue
  • Plain white paper
  • Colored pencils or markers
  • Writing utensil
  • Optional: Glitter, sequins, or other small craft materials

Before starting the lesson, make sure you have a good understanding of what glue is and how it is used. You can also gather any additional craft materials you may want to use for the activities.

Activities

  1. Begin by examining the glue. Look at its color, texture, and consistency. Discuss the different ways it can be used.

  2. Take a sheet of plain white paper and draw a picture using the glue. Use your imagination and create any design you like. You can also add glitter, sequins, or other small craft materials to enhance your artwork.

  3. Once the glue has dried, write a descriptive paragraph about your artwork. Use words to describe the colors, shapes, and textures you used. Try to make your writing as detailed as possible.

  4. Share your paragraph with a family member or friend. Ask them to read it and provide feedback. Make any necessary revisions to improve your writing.
