Objective

By the end of this lesson, the homeschool student will be able to analyze and discuss the character of Sir Arthur of Lancalot from a reading of the Arthurian legends.

Materials and Prep

  • Pen and paper

Activities

  1. Read a passage about Sir Arthur of Lancalot from an Arthurian legends book or online resource.
  2. Have the student read the passage aloud or read it together. Encourage them to pay attention to the character traits and actions of Sir Arthur.

  3. Character Analysis
  4. Ask the student to write a character analysis of Sir Arthur of Lancalot. They should describe his personality, strengths, weaknesses, and any notable achievements or actions.

  5. Discussion
  6. Engage in a discussion with the student about Sir Arthur of Lancalot. Ask them questions such as:
