No prior knowledge or preparation is required for this lesson.
Activities

- Design a Neighborhood Map
Imagine you are a pirate searching for buried treasure. Use your creativity to draw a map of an island where the treasure is hidden. Include landmarks like mountains, rivers, and palm trees. Don't forget to mark an "X" to show where the treasure is buried!
If you have a globe or world map, take some time to explore it. Look for different countries, oceans, and continents. Notice the shapes and sizes of the landmasses. Can you find your own country or state on the map?
Pretend you are an urban planner and design a map of your ideal neighborhood. Include houses, schools, parks, and any other important locations. Use symbols or colors to represent different types of buildings or areas.
