  • Art supplies (paper, pencils, colored pencils, markers, or paints)
  • Reference materials about the Norwegian fjords (books, websites, or photographs)
  • Access to a computer or tablet for research

Activities

  1. Introduction to the Norwegian fjords:

Start by discussing what the Norwegian fjords are and their significance in Norwegian culture. Show pictures or videos of the fjords to provide visual context.

  2. Research and inspiration:

Have the student conduct research on the Norwegian fjords. They can use books or websites to gather information about the geography, wildlife, and cultural aspects of the fjords. Encourage them to take notes and select specific elements that inspire them.

  3. Art project:

Using the gathered information and inspiration, guide the student to create a visual arts project. They can choose to draw, paint, or create a collage that represents the beauty and uniqueness of the Norwegian fjords. Encourage them to incorporate elements such as mountains, water, wildlife, and cultural symbols.

  4. Presentation and reflection:

After completing the art project, have the student present it to you or a family member.
