Materials and Prep
- A glass of water
- A small container
- A pencil
- A piece of paper
No prior knowledge is required for this lesson.
Activities
Activity 1: Properties of Water
Fill the small container with water. Observe the properties of water by:
- Touching the water and describing how it feels (wet, cool, etc.).
- Noting if the water has a color or is transparent.
- Placing a pencil in the water and observing if it sinks or floats.
Activity 2: Water Uses
Think about the different ways we use water in our daily lives. Write down at least five uses of water on the piece of paper.
