Activities

  1. Activity 1: Soil Ingredients

    Take a walk outside and observe the surroundings. Look for different materials that you think might be present in the soil. Make a list of these materials and their characteristics.

  2. Activity 2: Soil Layers

    Draw a cross-section of the soil layers. Label each layer and write a short description of what you think happens in each layer.

  3. Activity 3: Soil Formation

    Research or discuss with an adult how soil is formed. Write a step-by-step explanation of the process using your own words.

  4. Activity 4: Soil Logic Puzzle

    Create a logic puzzle related to soil. Include clues and a solution. Share your puzzle with a family member or friend and see if they can solve it.
