  • Internet access (optional)

No specific prior knowledge is required for this lesson.

Activities

  1. Research: Use books or the internet (with adult supervision) to learn about different animals commonly found in zoos. Write down the names of at least five animals and draw a picture of each one.

  2. Habitat Match: Match each animal from the previous activity with its natural habitat. Draw lines to connect the animals to their respective habitats.

  3. Animal Adaptations: Choose one animal from your list and research its adaptations. Write down at least three adaptations that help the animal survive in its habitat. Draw a picture of the animal showing its adaptations.

  4. Zoo Design: Imagine you are an architect designing a zoo. Draw a map of your zoo and include different habitats for the animals. Label each habitat and draw the animals you researched in their appropriate habitats.
