Activities

1. Read a book or article about sharks together. Take turns reading aloud and discuss interesting facts or new vocabulary words you come across.

2. After reading, ask the student to write down three things they learned about sharks. Encourage them to use complete sentences and proper grammar.

3. Have the student create a shark-themed word search puzzle. They can choose shark-related words and hide them in a grid of letters. Once they finish, exchange puzzles and try to solve each other's word searches.

4. Engage in a discussion about sharks. Ask open-ended questions such as "Why do you think sharks are important to the ocean ecosystem?" or "What are some misconceptions people have about sharks?" Encourage the student to express their opinions and support them with evidence from the reading.
