  3. After finishing the story, ask the student to retell the main events of the story in their own words. Help them identify the characters, setting, and plot of the story.
  4. Together, create a simple drawing or comic strip that represents the key elements of the story. The student can use the blank paper or notebook for this activity.
  5. Have the student write a short sentence or two describing their favorite part of the story. Encourage them to use descriptive words and proper sentence structure.
  6. Review the story with the student, discussing any challenging vocabulary words or concepts they may have encountered.
