  • Markers or pencils
  • Printed flashcards with Spanish numbers 1-10

Activities

  1. Warm-up: Begin the lesson with a fun Spanish song or video to get the student excited about learning Spanish.

  2. Introduce numbers: Show the student the printed flashcards with Spanish numbers 1-10. Practice saying the numbers together and encourage the student to repeat after you. Play a game of "Guess the Number" where you hold up a flashcard and the student says the corresponding number in Spanish.

  3. Learn greetings: Show the student the printed flashcards with Spanish greetings. Practice saying the greetings together and encourage the student to repeat after you. Create a dialogue where the student introduces themselves and greets you in Spanish. Repeat the dialogue multiple times to reinforce the learning.

  4. Role-play: Have the student pretend to be a Spanish-speaking character and engage in simple conversations using the greetings and numbers they have learned. Encourage them to be creative and have fun with it.

  5. Wrap-up: Review the numbers and greetings learned in the lesson. Ask the student to demonstrate their knowledge by counting from 1 to 10 and using the greetings in a conversation with you.
