Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to create a list of names for items around the house in Spanish.
Materials and Prep
- Pen or pencil
- Paper
Activities
-
Begin by walking around your house and observing different items. Look for things like tables, chairs, beds, windows, doors, etc.
Write down the names of these items in Spanish on your paper. You can use an English-Spanish dictionary or online resources to help you if needed.
-
Once you have a good list of items, practice saying their names out loud. Repeat each word several times to help you remember.
-
Create flashcards for each item by writing the Spanish word on one side and the English translation on the other. Use your flashcards to quiz yourself or play memory games with a family member.
-
Challenge yourself to use the Spanish names of the items when talking about your house. For example, instead of saying "I'm sitting on a chair," try saying "Estoy sentado en una silla."
