Materials and Prep
- World map or globe
- Images or pictures of Halloween traditions from different countries
Before starting the lesson, make sure you are familiar with the different Halloween traditions from around the world.
Activities
- Introduce the concept of geography by showing the world map or globe to the student. Explain that the map represents the Earth and different countries.
- Show the student images or pictures of Halloween traditions from different countries. Discuss how Halloween is celebrated in each country and point out the location of the country on the map.
- Ask the student to locate their own country on the map and discuss how Halloween is celebrated there.
- Play a game where the student points to different countries on the map and you tell them a Halloween tradition from that country.
- Encourage the student to ask questions and share any interesting facts they may know about Halloween or different countries.
