Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to identify different geographical locations and landmarks associated with dogs.

Materials and Prep

  • World map or globe
  • Markers or colored pencils
  • Internet access (optional)

Before starting the lesson, make sure you have a world map or globe ready and some markers or colored pencils for drawing.

Activities

  1. Locate Dog Breeds: Using the world map or globe, identify different countries known for specific dog breeds. Mark those countries on the map with different colors or symbols.
  2. Research Dog Landmarks: Use the internet (if available) or reference books to find famous landmarks associated with dogs, such as the Hachiko statue in Japan or the Doge's Palace in Venice. Draw or describe these landmarks on your map.
  3. Create a Dog Travel Brochure: Pretend you are a travel agent promoting a dog-friendly destination. Choose a country or city known for its dog-related attractions and create a travel brochure highlighting the dog-friendly activities and landmarks.
