Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to read and comprehend a story about leach, and answer questions about the story.

Materials and Prep

  • A children's book about leach
  • Pen or pencil
  • Blank paper

Activities

  1. Read the story about leach together. Pay attention to the illustrations and discuss them as you go along.
  2. After reading, ask the student to retell the story in their own words. Encourage them to include important details and the main idea.
  3. Write down a few comprehension questions about the story on the blank paper. For example: "What was leach's favorite activity?", "Where did leach live?", "How did leach feel at the end of the story?"
  4. Have the student answer the questions in complete sentences. Encourage them to refer back to the text for evidence.
  5. Review the answers together and discuss any misunderstandings or areas for improvement.
