Activity 1: Chinese New Year Shopping
Imagine you are going shopping for Chinese New Year decorations and treats. Create a shopping list with at least 5 items and their prices. Use addition to find the total cost of all the items.

Activity 2: Red Envelopes
Chinese New Year is a time when children receive red envelopes with money as a gift. Pretend you received 3 red envelopes with different amounts of money inside. Use subtraction to find out how much money you have in total.

Activity 3: Firecrackers
Firecrackers are an important part of Chinese New Year celebrations. Create a multiplication table for firecrackers, starting from 1 up to 10. Write down the number of firecrackers in each row and the total number of firecrackers in each column.

Activity 4: Lanterns
Chinese lanterns come in different shapes and sizes. Choose a lantern shape and draw it on a piece of paper. Use division to divide the lantern into equal parts and color each part differently.
