Activities

2. Camera Basics

   Explain the different parts of a camera, including the lens, shutter button, and viewfinder. Teach the student how to hold the camera steadily and how to focus on the subject.

3. Composition Techniques

   Introduce various composition techniques, such as the rule of thirds, leading lines, and framing. Show examples of photographs that utilize these techniques and encourage the student to experiment with them.

4. Lighting and Exposure

   Explain the importance of lighting in photography and how it affects the mood and quality of the image. Teach the student about exposure and how to adjust it using the camera's settings.

5. Outdoor Photoshoot

   Take the student outside to practice what they have learned. Encourage them to explore different angles, compositions, and lighting conditions. Provide guidance and feedback as they take photos.

6. Photo Review and Editing (optional)

   If access to a computer is available, review the photos taken during the outdoor photoshoot. Discuss the strengths and areas for improvement in each photo. Introduce basic photo editing techniques, such as cropping and adjusting brightness/contrast.
