Objective

By the end of this lesson, the Kindergarten student will be able to understand the basic concepts of the Law of Attraction and how it relates to Health Education.

Materials and Prep

  • Whiteboard or large paper
  • Markers or colored pencils
  • Pictures or drawings depicting positive and negative emotions
  • Index cards or small pieces of paper

Activities

  1. Introduction: Begin by discussing the concept of the Law of Attraction with the student. Explain that it is the belief that positive or negative thoughts and emotions can attract positive or negative experiences into our lives.

Ask the student to share examples of positive and negative emotions they have experienced.

  2. Emotion Sorting: Show the pictures or drawings depicting positive and negative emotions. Have the student help you sort them into two categories: positive and negative.

  3. Positive Affirmations: Explain that positive affirmations are statements we can say to ourselves to promote positive thinking and attract positive experiences.

Together, come up with a list of positive affirmations that the student can repeat daily. Write them on the whiteboard or large paper.

  4. Law of Attraction Experiment: Give the student the index cards or small pieces of paper.

Ask them to write or draw something they would like to attract into their life, using positive words and emotions.

Encourage them to place the cards somewhere visible, like on their bedroom wall or desk, as a reminder of their positive intentions.
