Objective

By the end of this lesson, the Kindergarten grade-level homeschool student will be able to understand the basic concept of the Law of Attraction and its relevance to health and well-being.

Materials and Prep

  • Whiteboard or large paper
  • Markers or colored pencils
  • Printed pictures representing positive and negative emotions (e.g., happy face, sad face)
  • Access to a computer or tablet for online resources
  • Prior knowledge of the Law of Attraction

Activities

  1. Introduction to the Law of Attraction (10 minutes)

Begin by asking the student if they have heard about the Law of Attraction before. Explain that the Law of Attraction is the belief that positive or negative thoughts bring positive or negative experiences into a person's life. Show them a picture representing positive emotions and ask them to share what they think positive thoughts might look like.

  2. Creating a Vision Board (15 minutes)

Explain that a vision board is a visual representation of the things we want to attract into our lives. Provide magazines or access to online images and ask the student to find pictures that represent things they want to have or experiences they want to enjoy. Help them cut out or print the pictures and create a collage on the whiteboard or large paper.

  3. Positive Affirmations (10 minutes)

Introduce the concept of positive affirmations as statements we can say to ourselves to help attract positive experiences. Ask the student to think of positive affirmations related to health and well-being, such as "I am strong and healthy" or "I choose to eat nutritious foods." Write these affirmations on the whiteboard or large paper.

  4. Discussion and Reflection (5 minutes)

Engage in a conversation with the student about their vision board and the positive affirmations they created. Ask them how they think these practices can contribute to their overall well-being. Encourage them to share their thoughts and feelings.
