Materials and Prep
- None
- Prior knowledge of basic energy concepts
Activities
-
Start by discussing with your child what they already know about energy and how it can affect our bodies and emotions. Encourage them to share their thoughts and experiences.
-
Introduce the concept of Reiki as a form of energy healing. Explain that Reiki practitioners use their hands to channel healing energy to help others feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally.
-
Ask your child to imagine that their hands are like magic wands that can send positive energy to someone in need. Encourage them to practice sending healing energy by gently placing their hands on different parts of their own body or on a stuffed animal or toy.
-
Discuss the importance of self-care and how Reiki can be used as a tool for relaxation and stress relief. Guide your child through a short guided meditation, focusing on deep breathing and visualizing positive energy flowing through their body.
-
Encourage your child to create their own Reiki-inspired artwork. Provide them with art supplies such as paper, colored pencils, markers, or paint. Let them express their understanding of Reiki through their artwork, whether it be drawing healing hands, creating a colorful energy flow, or any other creative interpretation.
