No prior knowledge or preparation is required for this lesson.
Activities
- Pattern Hunt: Look through a book or a passage and identify patterns in the text. Patterns can be repeated words, phrases, or sentence structures. Circle or underline them as you find them.
- Create Your Own Pattern: Using the patterns you identified in the previous activity, create a new sentence or paragraph that follows the same pattern. Write it down on a separate piece of paper.
- Pattern Story: Write a short story where you incorporate the pattern you created in the previous activity. Be creative and have fun!

- "After finding patterns, we will create our own pattern in the second activity. We will use the patterns we found and create a new sentence or paragraph that follows the same pattern."
- "In the last activity, we will write a short story. We will incorporate the pattern we created in the previous activity into our story. Let's be creative and have fun with it!"
