Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to create and complete a fun and effective workout routine.

Materials and Prep

  • Comfortable workout clothes
  • A clear space to exercise
  • A timer or stopwatch

Before starting the lesson, make sure you have enough space to move around comfortably and safely. Wear clothes that allow you to move freely without any restrictions. Set up a timer or stopwatch to keep track of time during the activities.

Activities

  1. Warm-up: Start with 5 minutes of light cardio exercises such as jogging in place, jumping jacks, or high knees. This will help increase your heart rate and warm up your muscles.

  2. Strength Training Circuit: Perform a circuit of bodyweight exercises including push-ups, squats, lunges, and plank holds. Do each exercise for 30 seconds, with a 10-second rest in between. Repeat the circuit 3-4 times.

  3. Cardio Blast: Choose a cardio exercise like jumping rope, running in place, or mountain climbers. Perform the exercise at a high intensity for 1 minute, followed by a 30-second rest. Repeat this interval for 5-10 minutes.

  4. Cool Down and Stretch: Finish your workout with 5 minutes of light stretching exercises to help your muscles relax and prevent any post-workout soreness.
