- Exercise mat or carpeted area
- Water bottle
- Clear space for movement
Before starting the lesson, make sure the student is familiar with basic exercise safety guidelines and has a clear understanding of the importance of warming up before engaging in physical activity.
Activities
Warm-up: Begin with a 5-minute warm-up to get the body ready for exercise. This can include activities such as jogging in place, jumping jacks, or high knees.
Crunches: Teach the student how to perform proper crunches. Start with 10 repetitions and gradually increase as the student becomes more comfortable.
Plank: Demonstrate the correct form for a plank exercise and have the student hold the position for as long as they can maintain proper form. Encourage them to challenge themselves and try to increase their time with each attempt.
Leg Raises: Guide the student in performing leg raises, which target the lower abdominal muscles. Start with 10 repetitions and gradually increase as the student develops strength.
Cooldown: Finish the lesson with a 5-minute cooldown, consisting of gentle stretching exercises to help the body recover.
