Activities

  1. Start by brainstorming what you already know about Thanksgiving. Write down your ideas in your notebook.
  2. Research the history of Thanksgiving. You can use books or the internet to find information. Write down at least three interesting facts you discover.
  3. Create a timeline of the history of Thanksgiving. Include important events and dates. Be creative and use drawings or symbols to represent each event.
  4. Write a short paragraph explaining why Thanksgiving is an important holiday in the United States. Use your research and your own thoughts and opinions.
  5. Share your timeline and paragraph with a family member or friend. Discuss what you have learned and ask them if they have any additional insights or stories about Thanksgiving.
