Fourth Grade Talking Points
- "Multiplication helps us understand how many groups of things we have. For example, if we have 3 groups of 4 apples, we can write it as 3 x 4 and find the total."
- "When we write a story, we can use multiplication to create interesting situations. For instance, if a character has 5 magical powers, and each power multiplies their strength by 10, we can write it as 5 x 10 to find out how strong they are."
- "Stories can be even more fun when we use our math skills to create exciting adventures. We can use multiplication to make our stories more creative and interesting."
