Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to create a lion-themed art project using basic materials and techniques.

Materials and Prep

Materials needed: paper, pencils, erasers, colored pencils or markers, and reference images of lions. No prior knowledge is required.

Activities

• Activity 1: Research and Sketch - Have the student research different images of lions and then sketch their favorite lion pose or facial expression.

• Activity 2: Color and Detail - Instruct the student to use colored pencils or markers to add color and detail to their lion sketch.

• Activity 3: Background and Presentation - Encourage the student to create a background for their lion drawing and present their finished artwork to the family.
